“City parks serve, day in and day out, as the primary green spaces for the majority of Americans.”

— Bruce Babbit, former Secretary of the Interior

Meet Our Parks

  • Springlake Park

Springlake Park is the largest of the three greenspaces in the Springlake neighborhood. It stretches east to west between Northside and Ellsworth Park, and is entirely wooded with a ravine and creek. This site, along with the rest of the neighborhood, was the site of the Battle of Peachtree Creek, and legend has it that many neighbors have found Civil War-era artifacts in this park.

  • Ellsworth Park

Ellsworth is the most often used of Springlake’s parks. With a playground designed for younger children, and an open field at the lower end of the park, many visitors come to play and enjoy the open space. Located at the intersection of Collier Rd. and Howell Mill, the park offers the first Welcome to Buckhead as visitors travel North from Midtown.

  • McKinley Wilson Triangle Park

The smallest of Springlake’s parks, McKinley Wilson Triangle Park, or “Triangle Park” for short, is nestled in between McKinley and Wilson roads and features a long-loved bench for swinging, along with rocks, pebbles, a small climbing tree and other delights for neighborhood children and their families.

“The making of gardens and parks goes on with civilization all over the world, and they increase both in size and number as their value is recognized. Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where Nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alike.”

— John Muir, Naturalist and “Father of the National Parks”
